deAsra Conducts a workshop counselling people on starting a small business




Points which entrepreneurs need to keep in mind while starting their own business touched upon by experts.

The trend of setting up own business is picking up these days. However, not everyone is well equipped with the process involved in doing so. In a bid to help such entrepreneurs and make them aware of the process involved, deAsra Foundation had arranged a workshop on Saturday at S M Joshi Sabhagruha in Navi peth.

The workshop had Mrs Vaishali Aparajit, Senior Udyog Mitra, Mr Arun Vartak, Mentor at deAsra Foundation addressing people.

“deAsra Foundation aims at helping aspiring businessmen and makes their business set-up faster and smoother. Our comprehensive 3-step approach helps small business entrepreneurs launch and grow a profitable and sustainable business,” said Vaishali Aparajit, Senior Udyog Mitra.

Adding to this, Arun Vartak, Mentor at deAsra touched on the things that an entrepreneur needs to start a business. “ Where should I start the business, like the Business place – location, rented, owned or What other infrastructure I will need as in the  Business set up – process, machines/equipment, work-force, raw material, power etc and  What compliances I will need i.e permissions, registrations which are  some pertinent things  in any start up. We help people solve those,” he said.

The workshop also touched upon funds and Source of Funds/ Funding schemes from banks. Some of the points which were touched upon included,

•        Own capital
•        Loan from relatives / friends
•        Long term deposits
•        Seed funding
•        Crowd funding
•        Bank Loan: Short term, long term loans
•        Loans under different schemes. Govt. schemes

It is not just the commencement of the business that matters, but one also needs to ensure its sustenance. The workshop helped counsel people on various aspects of sustainability as well. Points such as adequacy of sales/continuous demand for the product, yearly sales and its associated cost, profit and its growth in subsequent years were also looked at For Ensuring Commercial Viability of the Business. Moreover, no business can survive the test of time without a sound marketing strategy. Hence, such support is also ensured by deAsra Foundation.
